My research focuses on the governance of advanced artificial intelligence, with emphasis on catastrophic risk, international coordination, compute governance, and institutional design. I work across academic publications, policy reports, and applied research to inform governments, international organisations, and AI labs.

My work has been published in Science, Nature Machine Intelligence, International Joint Conference on AI, Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research, and the Proceedings of the AAAI/ACM Conference on AI, Ethics, and Society. I have presented research to the American Political Science Association, Brookings Institution, and the Bipartisan Policy Center.
